How one can go from “WORRY ABOUT YOURSELF” to “No, thank you” that quickly is baffling. But marvelous.

This….. Just made me wake up with a smile.

It could be parenthood or sleep deprivation from working nights but this had me crying.

Sometimes a song just depicts someone you know so perfectly, you can’t resist sharing. Isn’t there a Judas in all of our lives?

So you lash out/
To hush the ones who know/
‘Cause they are the ones you fear the most/
And its called damage control/
Well let me break it down for you/

Shake ‘em off while you’re jamming out to this. As for me, I’ll be blaring this with all my windows down. Thank goodness Spring has finally arrived in Music City.

xo,
Whit

I don’t think our society knows how to be sad anymore. When tragedy strikes, we are so quick to bite back and claim justice like a prodded beast. I’m not saying it would work, because maybe it wouldn’t, but what if we just left it at being sad? And we spent a few days just being sad. And while we were being sad, we prayed a little more, hugged a little tighter, and let our hearts soak all the good in our lives up. And then, after those days of sad were done, we decided to be nice. Not saintly. Just tried a little harder to be good to everyone we came across every single day. And we no longer reserved that compassion and giving spirit for times of devastation. Maybe, if we did that, our world would be a little better, our smiles would be a little bigger, and the terrible ideas that we, as man, decide to act upon would be a little less abundant. Just a little. Maybe?

Oh, hello. It’s me, again.
I’m just going to come out and say it- 2013 hasn’t been so good to me. In spite of our rocky start though, I’m choosing to get back to the basics and find my old pastime loves. Which, if you haven’t guessed already, includes getting back on this horse (read blog). New home, new beginnings.
Let’s do this.
